As a sporadic sitter client, we are not a child care write off because we are a referral agency. We are not a tax exempt organization. Therefore, all of our memberships are not qualified as deductibles or tax credits.  We also do not provide receipts when a sitter babysits for you, as these sitters are your employees.

The sitters are employed directly and employed directly by you. We ask you to seek advice from your CPA of how to claim your babysitters for their child care work. Per the IRS, deductions and/or tax credits can only be made if a parent is working during the time a sitter is watching a child.

For nanny clients,  your nanny is employed and paid directly by you and your family. How you decide to tax your nanny is totally up to your family’s discretion.
