Brittany V. is currently a 2nd grade teacher for Hillsborough County. She holds a bachelor’s of science degree in early childhood education as well as a Florida and Pennsylvania teaching certificate. She has taught 2nd grade for over four years and absolutely loves working with children! Previous to teaching in Hillsborough County, she taught in Collier County at a Title 1 migrant “Leader in Me” school. Brittany had worked in childcare for years with ages ranging from infants to school age. Through teaching, she also has experience working and teaching children with learning disabilities and special needs, such and autism. Brittany’s passion for teaching kids started in high school when she led mini cheer camps and began taking child care classes. She was able build strong relationships with kids through tutoring and after school programs, as well. She prides herself in building strong personal relationships with each child she works with.
Newborn & Infancy Experience:
Brittany V. has great experience working with infants and newborns. While in college, she worked at a childcare center where she cared for up to 4 infants at time. This included feeding, changing, and nurturing each infant. She also worked at another child care center for 1 year that ranged in toddler to school age, where she loved doing arts and crafts with the kids.
Personal Interests:
Brittany V. is energetic, responsible, organized, and attentive. She has always lived an active lifestyle as she was a cheerleader for 7 years and participated in a range of sports. She now enjoys going for walks, rollerblading, trying new workout classes, cooking, and spending time with her dogs at parks. She has a love for Disney World and has interned for the company, too!
