Lauren D. is originally from Pennsylvania and relocated to attend nursing school. Lauren graduated from the University of Tampa and plans to pursue pediatric nursing, here in Tampa. She has many years of child care experience, working with newborn ages and up. Lauren has worked as a sporadic babysitter, part time nanny, and church volunteer and nursing student in the NICU unit. In addition, she’s taken care of her older brother who has special needs and is very comfortable with assisting with these types of needs. Lauren currently serves on her church’s kids team every Sunday and loves spending time with children. For three summers, she nannied for one family. She would help with driving too and from activities, structured play and more. Throughout college, Lauren worked with many newborns in the NICU unit, where she would help with feedings, teaching new moms how to swaddle and so forth. Most recently, Lauren worked as a nurse intern at a children’s day camp. Lauren is very outgoing and loves children of all ages!
Newborn & Infancy Experience:
Lauren D. has strong experience working with children, including newborns. She grew up with a younger sister who she has cared for since she was born. Lauren also completed over 50 hours of experience in her pediatrics rotation for nursing school, in which she was able to care for numerous infants and newborns. She is very experienced, confident and happy to help with all children.
