Leah H. currently attends the University of South Florida and is a competitive cheerleader. She has strong experience caring for children of all ages, including newborns.  She enjoys keeping children engaged, happy and safe and she  is always willing to go above and beyond in her duties. Leah believes it’s important to engage with children in age-appropriate games, outdoor activities (should parents permit) and arts and crafts. She is very kind and patient and has a witty sense of humor. Leah has formed a special bond and love for children through years of babysitting, volunteering in her church’s nursery, helping with homework and guiding her younger cousins. She also grew up with younger foster siblings, from newborn ages and up and she has been trained to work with children who have encountered trauma, as well. Leah has been babysitting since she was high school and has proudly worked with all ages and all types of children, including children with down-syndrome. She has been an after-school helper, has safely driven children to and from activities, has helped with bed time routines, assisted with infancy needs and so much more.  In addition, she used to be heavily involved in the newborn program, within her hometown church. Lastly, she has also volunteered her time  coaching little ones, in cheerleading. Leah is very passionate about working with children and making strong connections with families.

Newborn & Infancy Experience:

Leah H. has extensive experience watching newborns and is able to help with all their needs. She has cared for three newborns throughout her babysitting career, two of which had medical needs that required extra care . Leah is very comfortable around newborns and is confident in her abilities to care for them.  She is familiar with following routines and always willing to help the parents with nap time, bottle feeding, diaper changing and tidying up, of course.

Personal Interests:

Leah H. enjoys cheering on the bulls at the University of South Florida,  as an all-girl cheerleader. Outside of cheerleading and remaining a full-time college study, she loves going to the beach with a good book in hand, riding bikes, thrifting, trying new foods, and spending time with friends and family.
